You work hard. Staying ahead shouldn’t be.
Diagnostic reasoning is the hardest — yet most important — skill to master as a clinician. I struggled with it early in my career, which fuelled my passion to train my brain and share what I’ve learned with others.
What started as a medical blog to share my passion for diagnostic reasoning has grown into a thriving community of clinicians who share the same passion.
Today, NP Reasoning shares blog posts, newsletters, webinars, and educational videos, clinical tools, guidelines —all designed to help clinicians develop strong diagnostic reasoning skills and stay current with the ever-changing landscape of primary care.
No matter where you are in your career—aspiring clinician, trainee, or experienced provider—you’ll find tools here to enhance your clinical reasoning and feel confident managing any case that comes your way.

I''m Vicky - a primary health care nurse practitioner sharing my passion and love for all things diagnostic reasoning & medical education! My ultimate goal is to help strengthen the NP community - the stronger our diagnostic reasoning skills & knowledge base, the stronger we are for our patients. I got my BScN from Queens University, my MScN from University of Ottawa, and my post-masters NP from Western University. It’s been an amazing journey. Besides family medicine and being a total nerd, I love to rock climb.
